UPGRADE SUNDAY INFO

Dear FBC Kids Families,

One of my favorite Sundays of the year is almost here—Upgrade Sunday! On Sunday, August 9, we'll celebrate kids taking their next step as they move into their new small groups and worship experiences. It is always such a fun day, and I can't wait to celebrate with your family!

Before we get there, I want to recognize one very special group. This Sunday, August 2, is our last Sunday with our current 5th graders in FBC Kids. While we'll definitely miss having them with us each week, we are so excited for them as they begin this next chapter in Student Ministry. It has been such a joy to watch them grow, ask big questions, build friendships, and learn God's Word. Church family, would you join me in praying for these students as they make this transition and continue growing in their walk with Christ?

A Special Morning for Our New First Graders - Sunday, August 9th

If your child is entering 1st grade, we have a really special morning planned just for them!

First graders and their parents, grandparents, or other special adults are invited to join us for our Jam Town Breakfast at 9:15 AM. This is more than just breakfast—it's a chance to celebrate a huge milestone together. You'll get to meet our Jam Town leaders, spend time with other first-grade families, and help your child feel excited and confident about all that's ahead.

One of the highlights of the morning will be our Bible Presentation during the worship service. As a church family, we'll place God's Word into the hands of our first graders and celebrate this important step in their faith journey. My prayer is that this Bible becomes one they'll open often, ask questions from, and treasure for years to come.

After the Bible presentation, our first graders will head to Jam Town for their very first worship experience. I have no doubt they're going to love it!

Everyone Else Is Moving Up Too!

All children who are promoting to a new age or grade-level class will move into their new Sunday morning small groups on August 9. Whether your child is moving down the hall or into a brand-new ministry area, our leaders are ready to welcome them with smiles, high-fives, and plenty of encouragement.

To help make the morning go smoothly:

• Arrive a few minutes early if your child is moving to a new class.

• Check-in will work just like it always does.

• Our volunteers will be available to help you find your child's new room and answer any questions you may have.

Thank you for allowing us to partner with your family in pointing kids to Jesus. It is one of the greatest joys of my ministry to walk alongside your children as they grow in their faith. We are praying this new ministry year will be filled with opportunities for every child to know Jesus more, grow in His Word, build lasting friendships, and discover how God can use them for His glory.

I can't wait to celebrate this exciting milestone with your family on Upgrade Sunday, August 9! We'll see you there!
